A fantastic opportunity has become available for a 1st Line support/service desk engineer to join a reputable company based in Amesbury, Wiltshire.

My client is looking for a driven and ambitious IT support engineer who has 1st line support / helpdesk support experience to join their friendly and highly ethical company based in Amesbury.

We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude and good experience of 1st line support with a focus on Windows 10, PC's and MS Office. 


Experience Required for an IT support analyst: We are looking for someone with previous experience of 1st line support or helpdesk support with some knowledge of setting up PC's and of Windows 10 in a networked business environment of 200 users +. Personality will be vital in this role and we are looking for someone that is bright energetic and has a can do attitude.  •  As a 1st Line support engineer, you will have experience of setting up workstations (PC/Windows, plus some Apple Mac) and user account management (create, modify & disable; phone profiles)  • A service desk engineer will have experience of configuring, supporting and troubleshooting: desktop, printers, and network connectivity, including patching.  • Any IT qualifications such as MCP would be an advantage but is not essential.  • You will also need to have a driving license to be considered for the role. 


The Role for a 1st Line support engineer:


You will provide desktop support and will resolve IT issues on site. They also have a site in Swindon which you may travel to occasionally, so you will need to have a driving license. As well as supporting and configuring their Windows 10 operating system you will also get involved in some small to medium sized project work. You will set up new workstations - mainly PC's with some Mac's as well as manage and log support tickets escalating where necessary to 2nd and 3rd line.
