My client is on the lookout for a talented and ambitious 2nd / 3rd line support engineer to join their growing business providing ICT services throughout Cornwall and West Devon.

Essential experience required for a Senior IT support engineer:

  • Experience in both on-premise and cloud (e.g. 365) and hosted services

  • Windows and Server technologies is essential

  • Security and internet (Fibre and ADSL) connectivity.

  • Experience with Apple equipment would be a huge advantage but isn't essential.

  • You need to be a problem solver, with an eye on the best solution for a customer.

Key Responsibilities for a 2nd/3rd Line support engineer:

  • You will meet and help staff from all levels within our client businesses, so good inter-personal and written communication skills are important.

  • As a Senior IT support engineer, you will undertake a variety of key responsibilities, including Application, Desktop and Hardware support, through to Networking, system monitoring and Security for their customer sites across Cornwall, West Devon and some further afield.

  • You will provide some support remotely, and some on site - we like to mix it up to give our team variety.

  • We supply a suitable vehicle to visit client locations and you will be expected to participate in a weekend working rota and sometimes undertake work during unsociable hours, but this is always kept to a minimum.

  • You’ll be instrumental in proposing solutions to clients and to use your technical skills and knowledge to deliver solutions, resolve issues and develop improvements.

  • You will work closely with 3rd party vendors and suppliers, providing exceptional IT Support to our clients
