An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2nd Line support engineer to join a global financial services company based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
6 month contract - £150 per day This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced 2nd Line support engineer to join a reputable organisation and build on their existing skill set. As 2nd Line IT Technical Support you will ensure the smooth running of the IT Service Desk.
This role is based in Basingstoke so anyone within a 30-45 minute commute will be considered.
Key Skills required for a 2nd Line Support engineer;
• Experience providing 2nd Line Support to a Windows 7 to Windows 10 Migration Project
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Outlook and Office 365
• Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and Office 365 in a BAU capacity
• Come from a Monitoring background (ie Monitoring SME, Monitoring Consultant, Enterprise Monitoring Engineer)
• Worked within both a Windows 10 and Windows 7 environment
• Exposure to VMware and other virtualisation tools
• Strong experience working as 2nd Line Service Desk Support
• ITIL qualification and experience in an ITIL managed environment would be beneficial
Key responsibilities for a 2nd Line Engineer;
• Windows 10 Migration
• Ensuring all required support documentation is in place and up to date
• 2nd Level Service Desk support
• Technical expert of local infrastructure
• Server/Workstation patching and upgrades
• Implementation of Vulnerabilities report updates
