I have a one-off opportunity available for an Account Manager who is looking to get their foot in the door with an IT company who will provide support and training to help build their career.


Skills, Knowledge, and Experience required for an Account Manager:

·Proven success in your ability and to maintain and develop a portfolio of clients.

·Confident negotiator and ability to ‘keep the client’.

·Strong client management skills and ability to keep promises.

·Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.

·Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.

·Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks.

·Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation.

·Excellent organisational and time management skills.

·A positive attitude to dealing with people.

·Clean UK driving license.

·A sound understanding of the UK Outsourced IT market would be an advantage but this is not essential.

·Ability to manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailored documentation i.e. Presentations / proposals to meet the client’s needs.

·Ability to co-ordinate the pitch process by effectively providing team members with a summary of clients technical and service needs.


Key responsibilities for an Account Manager;

·Manage a portfolio of accounts

·represent the company to existing clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls, emails, maintain and build relationships.

·You will be expected to spend up to 40% of your time out of the office in meetings. Travel is a major factor and is predicted to be predominantly in the South of England.

·Responsible for your own appointments with your accounts.

·Actively create, write and manage internal marketing campaigns using internal software to successfully upsell into existing accounts.

·Actively and successfully upsell and manage the sales process on internal opportunities including lead generation; customer pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the technical team.

·Possess drive, motivation, and attention to detail in ensuring all development opportunities to the company are captured and explored.

·You will have individual day-to-day responsibility for existing customer accounts and are expected to self-manage, however, you will be reporting directly to a director on a daily basis. Support is available on a day to day basis from the directors and technical team and will provide assistance for complex issues and strategies.

·As a representative at industry events your professional manner and appearance will aid your intention of gaining new business leads and contacts.

·Managing and maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration and account information is current using Sage CRM software.

·Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts, and any further documentation.

·Keeping abreast of issues affecting customers and collecting competitor intelligence.
