A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager to join a well-regarded business, based in Andover Hampshire.

The successful Internal Account Manager will be responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining long-term relationships with all contacts and maximising sales opportunities.

Main Role / Responsibilities of an Account Manager:

  • Taking ownership of your region and managing customers to deliver sales revenue in line with targets on a monthly basis.

  • Develop a complete understanding of key account needs within your region and arrange regular contact, liaise with External Sales Representatives as required, to ensure all opportunities are followed up and developed.

  • Establish multiple points of contact with the customer’s influencers

  • Generate enquiries to be quoted

  • Develop strategies to increase spend on existing accounts, through gap analysis

  • Seizing opportunities that come to light as a result of telesales calls

  • Report clearly on all sales activity by recording Events and Calls on NetSuite.

  • Ensure that all actions are assigned, and tasks created in NetSuite as appropriate.

  • Resolving any client issues and complaints to maintain trust.

  • Completing administrative tasks as requested by the Management Team, such as planning and presenting reports on account progress and goals.

Key Skills required for an Account Manager:

  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills

  • Proven knowledge of effective Sales Techniques

  • Effective sales negotiation and customer relationship building

  • Good interpersonal teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work alone as well as part of a wider team

  • Positive attitude and approach to working

  • Results-orientated with the ability to work to tight timelines

  • Strong time management skills including working on multiple projects

  • Process-driven with attention to detail

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
