A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer to join a reputable business based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.


Working hours - Monday - Friday


This is a new role, due to expansion, and will be reporting to the Lead Dev Ops Engineer. Post-Covid, the role will be a mix of office and home working.


Key skills required for a DevOps Engineer:

  • Application development background, in a .NET, Web Services SOA environment, using many of the following: Development & deployment of Azure, cloud-based applications, Single-sign on, plus integration with Windows Directory Services and C# v5 – 7.3, .Net Framework v4.5 – 4.7.2, .Net Core v2-v3, v5+

  • You will have experience of source & version control tools, Azure DevOps, and knowledge of the design for secure and maintainable websites and web service applications, in an SOA environment.

Key responsibilities for a DevOps Engineer:

  • assist in providing automation, architectural, and process solutions to improve technical quality and increase the effectiveness of the IT team and the company.

  • be a champion for quality, helping with quality assurance, release oversight across the IT teams: Development; Infrastructure; Testing and Database Administration, to facilitate the IT department working cohesively at a technical and logistical level.

  • You will be entrusted with access to environments and systems, to review systems architecture, interfaces, and development of automation.

  • cover architecture, QA – including continuous improvement, Interfaces/API’s, DevOps scripting, and configuration and deployment of CICD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
