An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Front-end Developer with Angular experience, to join a well-established organisation based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Required Skills & Experience required for an Angular Front-end developer; We are seeking a Developer with experience of developing customer portals and web sites from a primarily front-end perspective.

  • Development background in web sites and customer portals. 

  • Commercial experience of Angular

  • Knowledge of - HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS 

  • Any experience with Azure AD B2C would be a huge advantage but this is not essential.

  • Problem solver and analytical thinker 

  • Able to break-down problems into logical steps/solutions

  • A proven track record of delivering and supporting businesses or applications 

  • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans 

  • Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally 

  • Enthusiastic and pro-active, with the drive and commitment to work effectively, in an environment driving significant change 

  • Seeks input from mentors, line management and peers 

  • Actively applies feedback received to day-to-day work and strives to improve performance 

  • Well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated 

Key Responsibilities for an Angular Front-end Developer;

Responsibility for the developing changes to our systems. This will include: 

  • Front-end development of systems and portals.

  • Considering application security 

  • Considering performance and scalability, in the design of code

  • Integration (where relevant) with other systems.

  • Adhering to coding, user interface and usability standards 

  • Development portals, ideally with a high volume of concurrent users 

  • Working with business analysts and technical colleagues, to ensure that development changes are aligned with business needs

  • Documenting/communicating code designs, to the technical team 

  • Peer review code and be able to give both positive and negative feedback 

  • Developing, enhancing and supporting systems, to include:

  • Understanding business requirements 

  • Reviewing and understanding Solution Design and Technical specifications 

  • Writing, reviewing unit testing code 

  • Supporting System test design, planning and execution

  • Supporting UAT Ensuring QA procedures are followed 

  • Resolution of production problems, in an accurate and timely manner 

  • Helping deliver against agreed dates and quality, reporting progress on a regular basis, and escalating any delivery risks or issues 

  • Exercising reasonable care in ensuring the security and integrity of computer systems, data and applications 

  • Assisting with the secure integration of applications with supplier and software house systems
