Head of Oracle Cloud ERP


A new vacancy has become available for a Head of Oracle Cloud to join one of our well-regarded clients in Walthamstow. This is a fantastic opportunity that would suit someone with experience in leading application support for Oracle Cloud, and who is keen to get stuck into a new and exciting Oracle Cloud project.

Salary - £76,000

Location - Hybrid (2-3 days from home)

Job type - Permanent

Working hours - 36 hours per week

The successful Head of Oracle Cloud will strive to bring improvements in cost, quality, and service while driving technical and functional development. You’ll be the face of their Oracle Cloud solution, and responsible for contract management and relationships with external support partners, as well as assurance, training, and documentation. So excellent communication and people skills are a must.

As Head of Oracle Cloud, you will also liaise with the ERP board, other governance bodies, and many other contacts.


Key skills required for a Head of Oracle Cloud:

  • Extensive experience in leading application support for Oracle Cloud including managing and configuring the service desk application

  • Experience in developing team members and managing team and individual performance

  • Experience in managing third-party suppliers.

  • Experience in release management and environment management

  • Extensive experience in analysing user needs and requirements, mapping processes and documenting the results

  • Experience in supporting application systems and an understanding of their architecture

  • Experience in development providing interfaces and reporting tools for packaged solutions

  • Experience in managing projects and of project management methods and tools (e.g. Agile Methodology, Prince 2 and MS Project)

  • Good Functional and technical knowledge of Oracle Cloud (SAAS/PAAS)

  • Good knowledge of systems analysis and development

  • Good knowledge of Oracle architecture, development and tools

  • Good knowledge of reporting and data extraction tools e.g. OTBI, BI Publisher, FRS, Smartview, Dashboards, and data upload tools (eg. FBDI, ADFDI, etc.)

  • Good knowledge of data analysis, data validation and cleansing, database design and SQL databases

  • Good knowledge of SFTP protocols and requirements

Key responsibilities for Head of Oracle Cloud:

  • To lead a team of experts, where you will plan, develop and deliver Oracle Cloud support.

  • Day to day, you’ll manage your staff as well as super users within Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT. Together, you’ll see that critical systems including Payroll run smoothly, with rapid solutions available to counter any problems.

  • ERP

  • You’ll be in charge of functionality, performance, and operational management

  • Working with stakeholders to deliver business requirements and benefits.

  • Manage technical aspects of system development and integration, including requests for changes and deviations from specifications.

  • Lead in the assurance of technical documentation and solutions in alignment with requirements and strategic objectives.
