An exciting opportunity has become available for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join reputable and long-standing business based in Andover.


The key purpose of this role is to support the Quality & Compliance Systems Manager to implement and maintain the Company’s systems and processes for compliance to legal requirements.

 

Key responsibilities for a Health & Safety Administrator:

  • Ensure Organisational Compliance to Health & Safety Regulations including: 

  • COSHH – Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.

  • RoHS – The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

  • REACH – Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals.

  • WEEE – Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment. 

  • RIDDOR – Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulation 2013

  • PPE – Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Creating and maintaining Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

  • Monitoring changes in regulations and initiating changes required to remain compliant.

  • Coordinate accident reporting and records.

  • Coordinate Fire Safety measures and records.

  • Assist with Quality System, compliance and facilities tasks as requested by your manager.

  • Monitor and regulate Internal e-learning system.

  • Undertake additional duties as requested by your manager.

 

Desirable requirements: 

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications or be studying towards would be a huge advantage but this is not essential.

  • Have an understanding of general engineering and/or Quality systems.

  • An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to develop solutions. 

  • Effective communicator to all stakeholders. 

  • Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Knowledge of MS Office.
