A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT support engineer/ICT support engineer to join a well-established organisation as a ICT Field Engineer.
Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 (depending on exp) + Mileage + Phone + 6 weeks holiday
Hours: 9:00-17:00 Mon-Fri
Location: Field based – N/NW London (Barnet, Hillingdon and Ealing)
Key skills required for an ICT support engineer:
good understanding of server 2019/2016/2012/R2
windows 7/10, AD, Group Policy.
familiar with Office 2013/2016/2019/365
ideally experience of supporting schools ICT networks.
you will working alongside ICT coordinators so you will need to have excellent communication skills, be reliable and punctual, but above all, personable.
you much be comfortable working in the field or on your own but with the support of a team of technicians.
CRB/DBS desirable but will be required (we will pay for DBS check on commencement of employment)
Key purpose of the role for an ICT support engineer:
As an ICT Field Engineer you will be responsible for visiting a number of primary schools on a rota and carrying out hardware/software installations, basic administration, health checks, fault troubleshooting, minor repairs, and maintenance of peripherals and network infrastructure. Own transport required.
Key responsibilities for an ICT Field engineer:Troubleshoot and repair issues with the following; Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Interactive Whiteboards (Smart and Promethean), Speakers, Amplifiers, Printers, Visualisers, Cameras, Scanners, Photocopiers (connectivity only – not repair), tablets (iPads, Windows Tablets), Chromebooks
