This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a technical background who has experience managing an infrastructure team and wants to work for a company who gives them the freedom to manage their own work load.
The successful Infrastructure Team Lead will manage a small, well-established team within the business, with a focus on projects to support infrastructure, security and DevOps.
As an Infrastructure/DevOps/Security Team Lead you will have knowledge of some/most of the following technologies or similar products to those listed:
·VMware vSphere and underlying technologies including compute, networking and storage (VMware vSphere 5.5 - 6.5)
· Experience working in an agile environment
·Container technology (Windows server 2016, CentOS7, Ubuntu, Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
·Network traffic Management (Firewalls, Load balancers, Proxies)
·Microsoft SQL Server and Always On availability groups
·RabbitMQ
·Application and performance monitoring (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus)
·Automation using various tools (Git, Jenkins, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, DSC, Ansible, Kubernetes)
·Secrets in containers and application configs (Kubernetes, Vault, Jenkins)
Key responsibilities for an Infrastructure/DevOps Team Lead
·Working on projects that support our Infrastructure, DevOps and CyberSecurity plans.
·Ensuring the day-to-day management and support of our infrastructure is carried out to a high-standard.
·Collaboratively identifying those projects and creating long-term plans.
·Helping your team members structure and prioritise their workload.
·Ensuring the team continues to develop themselves and have the correct skills for the challenges they face.
·Work closely with the development teams and ensure they can continue to deploy new features to production rapidly.
Other responsibilities for an Infrastructure Team Lead/Security/DevOps
·Effectively using cloud resources (Azure - preferred, GCP, AWS).
·Infrastructure operations including patching, monitoring and deployments.
·Datacentre management.
·Some experience of infrastructure-as-code and a drive to bring that to all areas of the team.
