Working Hours - Monday - Friday


Key Skills required for a UX Frontend Developer;

  • 3+ years commercial experience in an agile software development environment 

  • You will have a proven track record of leading a team of developers on agile projects that have been delivered on time

  • Comfortable in using desktop technology, and have strong skills in using Microsoft Email, Calendaring, and Productivity Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Our corporate desktop platform is based on Apple Mac 

  • HTML5 / React / JSX / AngularJS / Vue Linux (Debian), Nginx, MySQL Native HTML CSS Coding JavaScipt / jQuery GoLang MVC & PHP Framework experience

Desirable skills for a UX Frontend Developer; **The below skills are not essential but would be a huge advantage** Cisco Data Centre technologies (Cisco UCS, Nexus, ASR and ASA) would be a distinct advantage. 

  • Containerisation (Docker / VIC)

  • Symfony / Symfony 2

  • RabbitMQ

  • Laravel

Responsibilities for a UX Frontend Developer; As a crucial part of the development team you will be responsible for the design and UX of our dynamic web applications to help support the company’s online applications and platforms. You will be comfortable using code management platforms (Jira, Stash, Bamboo etc), liaising with team members and developing your own code. The role will involve an element of support and will offer the opportunity to widen your portfolio of skills. 

The organisation’s code base is substantial and you will be challenged from day one. You will be able to meet the following requirements; • Strong job and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and prioritise accordingly  • Carry out day to day management of the Web Development team – including managing agile work packages and processes (Scrums, Sprints etc)  • Carry out team performance reviews and personal development plans  • Manage deadlines  • Ensure fully conversant with each team member’s strengths and skill levels  • Design and UX, front end development of user-friendly user interfaces  • Lead on the technical development, design and build of web applications to support a range of digital services  • Develop and share best practice and working knowledge with team members  • Set and communicate standards for the team  • Ensure quality reviews are completed and standards are maintained  • Take briefs from the Business and advise on the best technical solution  • Ability to determine effective and functional designs combined with delivery timelines  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to liaise at all levels  • Follow standards, UX/UI and digital guidelines  • Keep abreast of digital media trends, technologies and developments to share new ideas to the team and wider business  So, if you are looking for a challenge and the opportunity to progress your career further with a well-regarded business then apply now for more information.
