Key Requirements for a 1st Line support analyst;
Exceptional troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, VPN

Experience of working in a similar role or a technical environment
Preferences for a Network Support Technician;
Knowledge of using Cisco, Ruckus, Extreme Networks and UniFi networking equipment
Experience of building and managing servers on VMWare
Experience of working with an ISP or WISP

As a Wi-Fi Network Support Technician you will cover a wide range of tasks, from configuring firewalls and new systems, troubleshooting network issues or even wireless surveys.
You’ll be part of a Operations Team, reporting in to the Operations Director. You will join a team that handle 1st line support queries and you will be the first point of escalation. This will be to deal with specialist queries that require a much more in depth level of investigation.
You will be involved in the design, configuration and testing of new wireless systems before they are installed on customer sites. This will include routers, switches, Wireless Access Points, monitoring of the network, connectivity solutions, building the management portal according to the customer requirements and documentation.
Responsibilities for a Network Support Technician;
The Wi-Fi Network Support Technician will be responsible for dealing with specialist enquiries and configurations of wireless networking systems.
There are various factors this could cover and the ideal candidate would have knowledge of networking, Mikrotik Router OS, switching, Wireless Networks and monitoring systems such as PRTG.
My client specialise in providing services according to the customer requirement, so a broad knowledge of different vendors such as Mikrotik, Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki, Extreme Networks and UniFi would be ideal.
They provide a fully managed service to their venues so it is important that the candidate has some experience of using monitoring systems, not just to ensure their sites are operating at the high standard of quality our customers expect but also to take a pro-active approach and prevent issues before they occur. Monitoring is a key factor to their business, with a high number of sites being offshore their services are heavily relied on by crew requiring to keep in touch with friends and family back home.
