A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Service Desk Manager or Senior IT Technician to join a reputable Managed Service Provider, based in Hertfordshire.
The successful Service Desk Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 4 IT engineers, whilst also carrying out 2nd/3rd line support when needed. Our client is seeking either a Service Desk Manager with MSP knowledge or a Senior IT Engineer with MSP knowledge, that is looking to step into a management role.
Key responsibilities for a Service Desk Manager:
To manage a team of 4 IT engineers
Provide 2nd/3rd Line support when required to help support the team
To work as a team and support and provide guidance to team members
Deliver excellent customer service
Keep up to date with new technologies
Display a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Key skills required for a Senior IT Technician:
Service Desk Management experience or 3rd Line Level support experience
Experience working in an MSP environment
Microsoft Azure (file storage, VM, and directory service)
Server, Exchange, and Active Directory
Microsoft 365/SharePoint/Teams
Networking – Firewall/router configuration (Watchguard, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto)
Experience using ConnectWise Automate/Manage would be highly desirable.
