We have a fantastic opportunity available for an Application Support Engineer to join a very well-established business based in Ford, West Sussex.
My client is seeking an Application Engineer that has computing/electronics/ engineering/digital technologies/systems or process engineering knowledge.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to progress their career to the next level.
To be considered for this Application Support Engineer position, you will have some experience/knowledge in the following:
Degree/HND/C/BTEC-L5. Qualified in computing/electronics/engineering /digital technologies/systems and process engineering or similar.
Knowledge of modern communication layers/stacks from MQTT/OPC/WEB down through TCP/IP and legacy protocols/standards including Modbus, RS232, RS485.
Experienced with embedded product development, IOT/Cloud/Edge topologies/deployment.
Pragmatic at finding solutions, positive and enthusiastic about technology.
Ability to represent customer requirements and enhancements including communication and co-ordination with development teams, focused on delivery and outcome.
Any experience of the following would be hugely beneficial. However, training will be provided so the below is NOT a requirement.
Any experience with programming languages: Python, Lua, C/C++, and Linux would be a bonus but not essential.
Competent mathematical and arithmetic skills, ability to formulate data processes.
Interest in Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, Micropython or maker development platforms.
Control and process data or liquid monitoring.
