An amazing opportunity has become available for a Support Desk Engineer to join a reputable business based in Salisbury.
Our client is open to candidates that come from either a Telecomms support desk background or IT Service Desk.
Key skills required for a Service Desk Engineer:
2 years experience working in a similar role (either on a Telecomms Support Desk or an IT Service Desk)
Any knowledge of Telephone systems (preferably LG IPECS or Grandstream UCM, would be hugely beneficial but this is not essential as training will be provided.
Ability to use initiative with excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities for a Telecomms Support Desk Engineer;
Provide remote Technical Support to all of our products installed in the field (occasional site visits may be required)
Update support tickets and customer information on an in-house CRM system
Log customer enquiries and faults with 3rd Party Support, to ensure the Customers and Services Managers are up to date with any progress.
Identify any potential issues that could escalate and liaise with the relevant party, either internal or external to resolve these.
Configure broadband routers to ensure a seamless migration
Adhere to the support SLA’s and response times in place
Always act in the best interest of our customers
Support fellow Engineers remotely and on-site
