An exciting opportunity has arisen in Andover, Hampshire for a CAD design engineer to join a busy and expanding technical team.

My client is looking to specifically increase their capacity and capability for producing CAD design drawings, their current drawing formats are Autodesk Inventor and Revit. This is a varied role and will include producing technical documentation such as equipment data sheets, technical submissions, and test documentation Problem solving, and engineering solutions. From time to time the role will also require the successful candidate to work hands-on in their workshop or travel to the site to be involved in equipment testing and site measurements.

Experience required for a CAD design engineer;

• Mechanical/Electrical industry or Power Generation experience would be a huge advantage but is not essential as training will be provided for those who have a keen interest in this industry and are eager to learn.

• Positive attitude.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Thrive under pressure.

• Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualifications OR experience.

• CAD drawing Skills or passionate desire to learn and make a career in this area.

Key responsibilities for a Technical Design Engineer;

• Design and Drawings - Electrical and mechanical

• Technical support – support to the Project Managers on new and existing projects, support to the Service Department, and remote engineers.

• Engineer Support – liaising and working very closely with our field service engineers; this will include any training needs, specialist tooling requirements etc.

• Client liaising – assisting the Service Department liaising with our clients with regard to technical support and any reports required in resolving situations and problems.
