A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a well-established, reputable organisation.
Salary £27,000 - £30,000 + Commission (realistic earnings of £50,000+ per year) + company car
This is a field sales role where you will manage and visit existing clients as well as build new relationships. You will be allocated to the South East area to concentrate your sales activities.
As a Technical Sales Executive, you will also be expected to assist other areas as and when required as well as assist at any exhibitions that the company may attend. When required, Sales product demonstrations can take place at any of their regional offices where a desk for administration purposes is also available for use.
To be considered for this Technical Sales Engineer role, you will have:
A background in engineering
Sales experience (customer-facing)
The drive and motivation to work towards, meet, or exceed targets
Excellent communication & organisational skills
Outstanding relationship management experience
Any knowledge of Metrology or similar would be a huge advantage
Specific responsibilities and accountabilities for a Field Sales Engineer:
Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
Understand the Principles of Metrology to a high level.
Generate sales leads and pass them to relevant specialists when applicable.
Liaise with Specialists to follow-up sales leads and report status.
Assist with the preparation of quotations.
Negotiate with prospective clients.
Preparing sales reports and targets.
Meet or exceed sales goals.
Assist the Finance department with client payment queries.
Utilise the companies IT platforms to maintain client sales records.
Responding to client queries such as credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
Assist with and attend exhibitions as necessary.
Undertake additional duties as requested by your line manager.
