A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Technical Support Engineer to join a reputable business in Andover whose staff retention is second to none!
Our client will consider someone who comes from an Engineering or Metrology background, or similar.
This role could suit someone already in a Tech Support role within the above sectors or an Inspector, Quality Specialist, or a similar position.
Key skills required for a Technical Support Engineer:
At least 2 years experience in an Engineering role or similar.
Any knowledge of the basics of Metrology would be a huge advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.
The ability to understand drawings is desirable
An upbeat and positive attitude and confidence when talking to customers and employees.
Problem-solving skills are important as you will be learning different systems and equipment and will be a point of contact for any technical issues.
Key responsibilities for a Technical Support Engineer:
To learn and understand our products and the business.
To work closely with different departments such as Sales & Marketing.
Answer technical queries from customers, distributors, and colleagues and advise the most appropriate solutions.
Recognise and direct queries to Specialists or other Departments as required.
Support Distributors with queries and assist with support for their customers and showrooms.
Continually improve the quality of website technical content.
Proofing of Corporate materials originating from sources where English is not the native language.
To prioritise tasks and be open to change.
