Essential skills required for a Test Analyst:
We are looking for three to five years solid testing experience on manual on medium to large scale projects. As a Test Analyst you will need strong technical and analysis skills to implement test plans and scripts, including capturing and amending automated scripts, use of files for data driven testing, and operation of testing tools, to provide automated test coverage.
You will need to have previous experience running test plans on customer processes, such as external customer sites/portals, mobile applications, digital journeys, etc.
You will be experienced in testing techniques/practices such as Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD), etc.
You will be able to understand SQL commands, to successfully interpret the results of testing on the database information.
You will also be familiar with testing tools such as Microsoft Test Manger, Selenium, Postman and JMeter.
Key responsibilities for a Test Engineer:
The role will provide testing, to ensure the quality of applications used by the various teams. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business analysis and development teams, to ensure that the functionality of applications and changes are understood and that there is adequate test coverage (quality checking) of applications, processes and services, prior to their live/production release.
This Test Engineer role will be key to understanding ensuring the quality of capabilities, needed to address business challenges. As part of a team of Test Analysts you will be responsible for reviewing application processes from end-to-end, to identify and implement test plans and scripts, to ensure appropriate coverage. Manual testing is necessary, in particular for new functionality or areas with rapidly changing designs.
Where possible, scripts should be automated, to reduce the manual overhead, increasing the test frequency & coverage, improving the quality of systems. You will provide assistance testing on behalf of the business and technical teams/developers, to deliver new products, including web sites and portals. The position provides exposure to a broad range of related projects.
