2nd Line IT Field Engineer

Location - we are seeking x3 engineers. 1 engineer to be based in SE London, one in central Kent, and another located near Tunbridge Wells.

Salary - up to £38,000 + benefits

Working Hours - Mon - Fri (08:45 - 17:15)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an IT Field Engineer to join a well-regarded business where you will be responsible for supporting their clients in the London area.

**Our client is considering IT Engineers from a Senior 1st Line level to Senior 2nd Line**

Key skills required for a 2nd Line Field Engineer:

• A Full UK Driving Licence is essential

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior 1st Line or 2nd Line IT Engineer

• Any experience working out in the field would be a huge advantage but this is not essential.

• Windows Server 2003-2019

• Windows Desktop XP-10

• Hosted Desktop and Cloud computing

• Terminal server farm setups

• Office 365 tenant setup and administration

• VMWare/Hyper-V administration

• Strong networking capabilities (DNS, routing, switching etc)

• VoIP knowledge, preferably 3CX

• Any experience working for a Managed Service Provider would be hugely beneficial but it is not essential

Key responsibilities for an IT Field Engineer:

• Become an experienced member of the Field Engineer team, performing on average around 4 site visits per week

• To support the technical helpdesk as and when required by the business

• Represent the Company in a positive way, by engaging well with customers, being well-presented at all times, and demonstrating a positive work ethic

• Thrive on imparting your technical knowledge to others by helping them where needed and creating documentation to support others in the form of Knowledge Base articles

• Bring an in-depth knowledge of Windows technologies, such as Windows Server and Desktop operating systems

• Demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting, thinking outside the box to reach the best resolution
