A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Analyst that is looking for a varied role within a reputable and well-established organisation.
The role will be 20% BA work and the rest will be scrum master, project manager, release management, and overseeing testing on projects. So we are looking for someone with experience in managing software development-based projects and have also taken on the roles of Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Release Manager on smaller projects.
Key skills required for a Business Analyst
Must have experience working as a business analyst, ideally from the financial services or insurance sector that has focused on processes and solutions both business and IT related
Experience of working on both small and medium coupled with experience in data and trend analysis, to understand the drivers behind the business and the need for change.
You will be highly proficient in capturing and prioritising requirements
Strong Microsoft Excel skills to analyse information such as transactions, and customer behaviour, to help identify opportunities and make recommendations.
Previous experience analysing customer journey processes and improvements, e.g. customer portals, digitisation, mobile applications, etc. as well as experience of Scrum Agile Development.
Job role for Business Analyst/Scrum Master
You will work on much broader, business-wide process and change projects. The Business Analyst is a wide-ranging role; providing strategic business analysis to the business teams, leading small to mid-size projects, and assisting others/project managers/scrum masters on larger more complex projects.
The BA role includes scrum master, product owner, and release manager activities. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units, to gain an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates.
This role will be key to understanding and documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges. The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end, to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks as well as identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. You will also be responsible for managing the changes through to delivery, performing a range of scrum master, product owner, and release management functions.
