Salary - £34,000 - £38,000 + opportunities for overtime + a company vehicle, fuel card, and a Starbucks card

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Deployment Engineer to join a forward-thinking Telecoms business.
Key skills required for an IT Deployment Engineer:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A background in Telecommunications/IT/Network installations and support with demonstrable experience.
Experience working with CW1308 telephone cabling and structured (CAT5/6/7) cabling.
Experience installing and supporting PBX systems such as NEC, Samsung Office Serv, Siemens/Unify, LG Ericsson or similar.
Experience installing and supporting Hosted (VOIP/SIP) telephone solutions such as Gamma Horizon, 8x8, 3CX, Ring Central.
Experience installing and supporting network hardware such as routers and switches supplied by Draytek, Netgear and TP Link.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for both on-premise and hosted telephony solutions.
Good understanding of SIP, VOIP, and networking in general, especially network switch and router configuration.
Must hold a current UK driving license.
Key responsibilities for an IT Deployment Engineer:
Install the telephone system, undertaking cable runs and overcoming buildings / logistic issues as they arise.
Attendance of site in accordance with the work schedule provided by the Installations Director and or Field Engineering Team Leaders.
Check that the survey gathered appropriate and correct information to ensure that the system will meet the customers' needs. Reporting any discrepancies to the Team Leaders or Installations Director before commencing work on site;
Ensure that each site visit has a technical check page completed at the end of the installation/site visit in accordance with the technical departments guidelines;
Install the telephone system, undertaking cable runs and overcoming buildings / logistic issues as they arise.
Commission/programme the equipment ensuring it is fully functional and ensure that no faults exist before they leave site.
Undertake appropriate training with the customer in accordance with the training guidelines issued by the Installations Director.
Call in any outstanding issues with the installation which you have been unable to rectify to enable them to be rescheduled.
Ensure that completed documentation is returned to the Head of Cloud installations on each site visit.
Ensure that all relevant paperwork including the COA and customer satisfaction sheet is signed before leaving site and that this paperwork is sent to the Team Leaders before leaving site.
Assist with the installation or support of equipment as directed by the Installations Director/Team Leaders.
Role swap with the Technical & Telephony team when required.
Taking responsibility for their own health and safety and that of any trainee or other Engineer working with them, ensuring that they work in a safe manner so as not to cause harm to themselves or others.
Supporting the work of the Technical & Telephony Team in additional e.g. undertaking Support visits as required.
Assisting the Technical & Telephony Team by carrying out general administration duties including filing, logging calls, faxing etc when in the office.
Maintaining your vehicle, making sure is fit and roadworthy at all times, to ensure that you have your vehicle available for work at all times.
