A fantastic opportunity has become available for DevOps Engineer to join a reputable and forward-thinking business.


Location - remote or hybrid working is on offer so you can be based anywhere in the UK.


This is an enabling and enhancing role, providing automation, architectural and process solutions to improve the technical quality and increase effectiveness of the IT team and the company.


A DevOps Engineer is a quality champion, helping with quality assurance, release oversight across the IT teams: Development; Infrastructure; Testing and Database Administration, to facilitate the IT department working cohesively, at a technical and logistical level.


A DevOps Engineer will be entrusted with access to environments and systems, to review systems architecture, interfaces and development of automation.


Key skills required for a DevOps Engineer:

  • Architectural experience of back-office applications and their design, including extension and expansion through integrations

  • Extensive background working in the IT industry

  • Kubernetes and Terraform experience is essential

  • Track record delivering & supporting mission-critical, eBusiness applications

  • Application development background, in a .NET, Web Services SOA environment, using many of the following: Development & deployment of Azure, cloud-base applications, Single-sign on, plus integration with Windows Directory Services, C# v5 – 7.3 [.Net Framework v4.5 – 4.7.2] [.Net Core v2-v3, v5+], WCF, WF, Visual Studio 2017/2019, SQL Server 2017/2019, T-SQL stored procedures, ASP.NET, MVC 4/5/6, ADO.NET, XML, W3C Schema, SOAP, and Web Services, Best practices and Design Patterns, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML

  • Experience of source & version control tools, Azure DevOps

  • Knowledge of the design for secure and maintainable websites and web service applications, in a SOA environment

  • Full development lifecycle experience, including implementation plans

The role covers six areas:

  • Architecture

  • QA

  • Interfaces

  • Applications

  • DevOps Scripting & Configuration

  • Documentation & Information Dissemination

  • Statement
