Finance Manager - Part time

Salary - up to £50,000 FTE


A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager looking for a Part-time role, based in Andover Hampshire.


Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their growing team to manage the day-to-day functions of the Finance Department in-house, reporting to the Operations Director.


Key skills required for a Finance Manager:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified

  • Experience in the construction industry as a Management Accountant/Finance Manager or similar.

  • Working experience of Work in Progress, CIS, Retentions & Domestic Reverse Charge VAT

  • Self-checker with an excellent eye for detail

  • Advanced Excel knowledge

  • Experience with Sage Accounts & Payroll would be an advantage but this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities for a Finance Manager:

  • Oversee Credit Control function and assess Credit risk

  • Monitor Credit Insurance on current projects

  • Liaise with Operations on overdue payments

  • Manage Supplier payment terms and limits

  • Bank and Cash - Update Cash flow daily and report to Directors

  • Calculate the monthly WIP figure

  • Manage Loans/HP/Leases

  • Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • Prepare and submit weekly production hours dashboard

  • Prepare and post payroll journal

  • Prepare Yearly budget

  • Prepare stat accounts yearly and submit to Accountants - deal with queries, post adjustments

  • Purchase Ledger/Supplier Control

  • Cashflow Management/forecasting

  • Bank and Cash - Update Cash flow daily and report to Directors

  • Management Accounts

  • Stock Valuation

  • Maintain fixed asset register

  • Manage Loans/HP/Leases

  • Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • Payroll/Time Management

  • Prepare stat accounts yearly and submit to Accountants - deal with queries, post adjustments
