An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Planner to join a forward-thinking business, based in Andover, Hampshire.


The Production Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-efficient flow of Production Operations within a busy manufacturing setting. Make certain the workshop is fully planned and forecasted to meet the expected output of the business to achieve the growth and profit targets.


Key skills required for a Production Planner:

  • Experience in planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

  • MRP/ERP system experience.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Organised & efficient

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work without supervision

  • Microsoft Office

  • Any experience with the following would be a huge advantage but isn't essential as training will be provided - Lean Management, Kanban, STOP, Teamcentre, Sharepoint, PEGA, Teams, and Smartsheet.

Key responsibilities for a Production Planner:

  • As a Production Scheduler, your will be responsible for the movement of each production order through the manufacturing process liaising daily with the production team.

  • Working and communicating with the Factory Workshop Manager and CAD Manager to batch and plan production.

  • Working closely with the Pre-Contracts effectively and economically plan factory workloads to meet internal and customer lead times.

  • Use a rolling production plan to future plan workloads, to optimize factory performance, and maintain full and manageable productivity.

  • Responsible for issuing Weekly Project updates.

  • Attend weekly/monthly production meetings.

  • Work with the Production Manager on all aspects of production planning.

  • Produce clear and effective documentation of both a descriptive nature using graphical and statistical information
