A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Telecoms Engineer to join a reputable business, based in Salisbury.


Key skills required for Telecoms Engineer:

  • Must be an experienced Telecoms Engineer.

  • Strong Knowledge of telecoms systems, namely LG IPEX, UCP/Cloud.

  • Previous supervisory/coaching experience beneficial but not essential.

  • Strong organisational skills coupled with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Personable and assertive, a team player with a can-do, customer focused approach. Supportive and approachable.

  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Key responsibilities for a Telecoms Engineer:

  • Managing the installation team (North & South) on a day to day basis, encompassing resource planning and management and undertaking the administration in this regard, e.g. recording and authorising holiday and other absences on the HR system.

  • Supervising the team, being the first point of contact for any questions or concerns, escalating matters to the Technical Director as appropriate.

  • Maintaining regular communication with the team and ensuring that they feel part of the fold despite working remotely.

  • Coordinating the smooth and efficient delivery of system installations, booking all jobs in the engineering diary.

  • Ordering all of the necessary kit and components in a timely fashion, to ensure its delivery to the client site in preparation for the Engineers arrival.

  • Communicating with the client and Engineer as necessary. Adding any additional kit that you identify as being required (logging any kit amendments/re-costs internally)

  • Working towards the maximum install figure on a monthly basis by ensuring that all jobs are ready to be paid out without delay.

  • Undertaking Snagging, complaint management in relation to database tickets and any outstanding issues from installations.

  • Provisioning Hosted deals on the portal, providing the Engineer with the relevant login information, user guides etc. and ensuring that all pre-installation configuration is handed over to a set standard.
